FREEZING

Well the temp in Chi-Town has been averaging about -4 without wind chill. Needless to say the girls did not have school this past Thursday or Friday. I did still had to work, people still need to get adjusted! Which is a good thing you know, job security! But I wanted to thank Frenchie who sat for the girls all day Thursday and Heather who sat for the girls Friday morning! Also a big THANKS to Erin who helped me out BIG TIME both Thursday night and ALWAYS! Today I have about 200 girls scout cookies to drop off at my niece's house who sold them at work! Thank you Wendy...YOU ROCK!! Yes it is still freezing and very windy today! I will be very bundled!

Back To School Today!

It wasn't as bad as I am sure tomorrow will be! Last night the girls were asleep, completely out by 8:00p.m. They woke up this morning in good moods and getting ready for school went pretty smooth. Now tonight on the other hand the girls were wound up until about 9:00p.m. for Eleanor and 9:30p.m. for Audrey! Which means you guessed it, they are going to wake up in "GREAT" moods tomorrow. I know it's going to take a couple days to get back in the swing of things. It didn't help either that Garry was home sick today, so sick he went to the doctor! He has bronchitis and a sinus infection. They told him to return to work on the 8th, but he is SO dedicated that he can't miss another day! He was also told to contact his PCP b/c his BP is too high. It may be time for meds!
Work is going well. Still trying to balance work/family. Will that ever happen? Stay tuned!

Birthday Part II

We went to my folks house today for Eleanor's birthday. She got a set of The Fairy Chronicles books and a gift card for a new bicycle! We decided we didn't want to pick out bike left over from Christmas so we are waiting until April/May to pick it out. Then we had a nice lunch. It was a pretty good day.
It is 9:45p.m. why did Audrey just walk into my room and tell me she can't sleep! I have to put her back to bed. Garry is sick and besides that the Colts game is on. Good Night!!

Eleanor is 7!

Today was Eleanor's Birthday! We did EVERYTHING she WANTED! She wanted to spend the day shopping at the mall with her mom! So off we went. Limited Too, Cinnabon, Claires, GameStop, Disney and lastly, H&M. She was a spoiled princess, but she deserved everything! I can't believe she is 7!! Where has the time gone. After we got home Erin stopped by with two dozen roses and 7 Balloons! Eleanor is a very lucky little girl.

Also today my niece Nicole had a baby boy, Donovan Xavier Holmes. Eleanor is thrilled to share her birthday with her cousin!

The celebration continues tomorrow at Grandma and Papa's!

HAPPY 2009!!!!

Our New Year's Eve started out at Mr and Mrs. Frenchie's. We had a couple drinks while the kids ran wild. We came home about 10:00p.m. to ring in the new year with some sparkling grape juice and fireworks. Erin (our babysitter/friend/oldest child) came over to ring in the new year. If you can believe it, Eleanor and Audrey stayed awake until MIDNIGHT!!! About ten to twelve Audrey could barely keep her eyes open but she managed. As you can see we all had a great time!
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!

BTW...we were all asleep by 12:30am!

Health update

3 hours later we walked out of the doctor with colds. The doc did give us a Rx for cough syrup with codeine to help us all sleep. Didn't work too well both girls were up pretty much all night coughing! We shall see what today brings. Plenty of rest that's for sure!

Under the Weather

The girls have had a touch of something for the past week. I am going to take them to the urgent care doctor. I am thinking bronchitis. They are coughing non-stop and when they lay down it gets worse. So bedtime and through out the middle of the night is horrible for them (an me!) I will keep you informed. Say a prayer!
